Meeting the public’s growing expectation for a wide range of services that support the community is a challenge for even the best local decision-makers. Fiscal restraint, downloading from other levels of government and the need to be more client-focused mean that local governments must be more forward-looking in their approach to service provision. Municipal and regional governments throughout British Columbia and Alberta are turning to Urban Systems’ community planners, municipal engineers and local government/finance professionals to help them develop creative, efficient and cost effective solutions.
