We hire:

CIVIL ENGINEERS

Our civil engineers are engaged in a variety of projects that range from municipal infrastructure including water, sanitary sewer, stormwater and transportation to First Nations and land development.  All of our engineers are registered members of the Association of Professional Engineers in British Columbia and/or Alberta.  A collaborative approach capitalizes on the wealth of technical and project management experience resident within each of our our seven branch locations.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS

Our landscape architects are passionate about creating designs that are unique and functional but also environmentally responsible.  As registered members of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, they offer expertise on issues relating to climate, soil, drainage, vegetation, signage, walkways, utilities, and the impact of proposed and existing infrastructure and buildings.  They are champions for environmental stewardship and stay abreast of developments in both provincial and federal legislation.  Our landscape architects work with technologists and other members of our multi-disciplinary team to offer a wealth of integrated design services that enhance the communities we live in.

COMMUNITY AND REGIONAL PLANNERS

Our community and regional planners work closely with other core disciplines of the firm in delivering truly integrated services to our clients.  Their expertise encompasses land use planning, economic development strategies, implementation programs, environmental planning and assessment, infrastructure planning, financial planning and public consultation.  They are skilled facilitators and have intimate knowledge of the complex social, economic and environmental issues facing public and private sector decision makers.  Our planners are involved in a variety of professional associations including the Canadian Institute of Planners and stay abreast of economic and legal issues relating to zoning codes, building codes, and environmental regulations.

TECHNOLOGISTS

Technologists are an integral part of our project teams.   They apply their technical expertise in computer aided design and drafting to a wide variety of projects including storm and sanitary sewers, waterworks, roadways, sidewalks, curb and gutter, lot grading and shallow utilities.  Many of our technologists are also involved in field services such as survey and construction inspection.  We employ graduates of applied science and technology programs and have developed considerable in-house expertise in GIS, 3-D modelling and other technology-based services.

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

In Urban Systems we believe that everyone has a significant role to play in the success of our practice - including those who work behind the scenes.  Our administrative staff provide a variety of services aimed at leveraging the effectiveness of our front-line consultants and project managers.   They are skilled in project management, communications, financial administration and document and graphic presentation.  We look for career-oriented people who have strong computer skills and a passion for providing great service.
